Hon. Bamidele Salam fulfills a mandated commitment to empower students and constituents in Ede North, Ede South, Egbedore, and Ejigbo Federal Constituency of Osun State. The expansive empowerment event, held on December 16, 2023, at the late Senator Isiaka Adeleke Country Home in Ede, encompassed various initiatives benefitting over 3,500 constituents.
Distributed resources included computer sets to 50 schools, 3 cars to party leaders, 50 industrial sewing machines, hair dryers, generators, and agricultural chemicals. Additionally, sewing machines, grinding machines, hair dryers, agricultural disinfectant sprayers, force-ups, portable generators, deep freezers, and bags of rice were distributed to women, youths, and constituents.
The National Children Leadership Conference in Abuja featured mock examinations, with top-performing students receiving awards to encourage their educational journey. Governor Ademola Adeleke commended the initiative, acknowledging it as a stepping stone for Osun State’s greater development and praising Hon. Bamidele Salam as a “fantastic representative.”
During a press briefing, Hon. Salam emphasized the initiative’s motives, expressing a commitment to fulfilling an electoral promise by empowering constituents for improved economic and personal well-being. He highlighted ongoing government efforts in infrastructural development and pledged to sustain and expand the empowerment program.
Prince Bola Ajao, State Secretary of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), likened Hon. Bamidele Salam’s actions to the effective governance of Governor Adeleke, praising the distribution of democracy dividends to various sectors.
Beneficiary Oyedele Kashfat expressed gratitude, noting that the distributed machine fulfilled a long-standing dream. Another beneficiary, Adegbite Aderoju from Obafemi Awolowo University, appreciated the bursary, emphasizing its significant impact on her financial well-being.
