Honorable Azeez Oyeyemi has commended the Kwara State Government for its efforts in organizing the Kwara Youths Symposium. The symposium, organized by the State Ministry of Youth Development, aims to address issues related to the interests and prospects of youth in the state.
This year’s symposium is centered around the theme, “The Legacy and Ideology of Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq: A Model for Youth Inclusion and Empowerment in Nigeria.” The theme aims to highlight the achievements and principles of Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, the Governor of Kwara State, as a role model for youth inclusion and empowerment in the country.
Hon. Azeez Oyeyemi, a chairmanship aspirant under the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Offa local government area of the state, commends the state government’s initiative in providing a platform for fruitful discussions on the prospects and challenges faced by the youth.
He recognizes the importance of empowering the younger generation and believes that events like the Kwara Youths Symposium serve as catalysts for positive change.
Hon. Azeez Oyeyemi encourages all youths in Kwara State and beyond to actively participate in the symposium and take advantage of the platform to voice their concerns and aspirations. He believes that by actively engaging in such initiatives, young individuals can contribute significantly to the growth and development of their communities and the nation as a whole.
The Kwara Youths Symposium was a significant event, fostering dialogue, promoting youth inclusion, and ultimately leading to the empowerment of the young generation in Kwara State.
The symposium gathered stakeholders, experts, and young individuals to deliberate, exchange ideas, and develop strategies for effective youth inclusion and empowerment. It presented an opportunity for the youth to engage with decision-makers, share their perspectives, and contribute to the development of Kwara State.
The event was graced by cabinet members, academics and successful entrepreneurs including the Nigerian-American professor and media scholar Prof Farooq Kperogi.
Other dignitaries in attendance were the Chief of Staff to the Governor Prince AbdulKadir Mahe; supervising Commissioner for Youth Development Hon. Usman Yunusa- Lade; Special Adviser on Youth Engagement Umar Muhammad Attairu; Chief Press Secretary to the Governor Rafiu Ajakaye; Senior Special Assistant on Community Development Dr. Lawal Olohungbebe; and social analyst and a lecturer at the Al-Hikmah University Dr. Sanusi Lafiagi, and dozens of youth from different backgrounds.
