The Galaxy Clique Offa has presented a patrol van to the Offa Community.
The donation ceremony, held today, saw the vehicle handed over to Alhaji Salako Olaniyi Azeez Muideen, the National President of Offa Descendants Union (ODU), and Alhaji Tajudeen I. Bello, ODU National VP 1.
Distinguished guests in attendance included Sir (Prince) Robert Olusoji Olagunju, KSG, the Aremo of Offaland; Dr. Waheed Olagunju, Aare Bobagunwa of Offaland and Chairman ONEIH; Chief Bobaselu of Offaland, Chief (Mrs) Wosilat Tinuke McCarthy, among others.

This significant step by the Galaxy Clique Offa is a testament to the club’s dedication to addressing emerging security challenges within local communities. The decision to donate the patrol van follows discussions at the club’s annual colloquium held last year on the same day.
The colloquium featured distinguished speakers, including retired Air Vice-Marshal Balogun, retired Assistant Inspector General Opadokun, and retired Colonel Olayanju. Chief Mrs. Shade Omoniyi presided over the event as the chairperson.
The club’s commitment to local security emerged as a priority in the aftermath of the colloquium. The Galaxy Clique Offa recognized the importance of local content in enhancing the security architecture of Offa, leading to the proactive provision of a patrol vehicle for local guards and vigilante groups.
In a poignant gesture, the Galaxy Clique Offa decided to suspend its usual annual colloquium for the current year as a mark of respect for their departed member, Abdulrasheed Lanre Oyewo.
Beyond security concerns, the impact of the Galaxy Clique Offa extends to broader community welfare. The club’s 2021 colloquium focused on combating youth drug abuse, featuring insights from General Buba Marwa, the Executive Chairman of NDLEA. As a positive outcome, the Kwara State Government has granted approval for the Galaxy Clique Offa to remodel the Drug Rehabilitation Center at the General Hospital in Offa. This transformative project is slated for completion in the upcoming year, reinforcing the club’s commitment to the well-being of the community.
