Halimat Olamide Ibrahim, the immediate past Arewa Offa Beauty Pageant for the 2022/2023 term, has extended her heartfelt appreciation to supporters and stakeholders in a touching farewell message.

 

Halimat, a dedicated student pursuing Urban and Regional Planning at the Federal Polytechnic Offa, emerged victorious in December 2022. Hailing from the Olomi Compound, she attributed her success to the grace of Almighty Allah.

 

Expressing her gratitude, Halimat acknowledged the pivotal role played by His Royal Majesty Oba Muftau Muhammed Oloyede Gbadamasi Okikiola Ajagungbade I, Esuwoye II, for introducing the innovative beauty pageant that showcases the talents of young maidens in the community. She prayed for continued success and prosperity during his reign.

 

The Offa Descendants’ Union National Body also received special thanks from Halimat for their unwavering support throughout her tenure.

 

During her reign as Arewa Offa, Halimat actively contributed to community development by organizing educational programs such as quizzes, spelling bees, and debates for public primary and secondary schools. Additionally, she collaborated with One Innovation Hub, Offa, to provide ICT training for forty children. Halimat proudly unveiled the official logo and motto, ‘Pride of Her Father’s Land,’ for the Arewa Offa office.

 

Halimat took a moment to appreciate the generous financial contributions of her sponsors, including Alhaji Tajudeen Owoyemi, Alhaji Tayo Shittu, Dr. Waheed Olagunju, Senator-Architect Oyelola Ashiru, Alhaja Rafat Ademola Shittu, Chief Barrister Olusegun Olawoyin, Chief Abdullateef Adekunle Ajeigbe, Honourable Abdulwaheed Gbenga Yussuf, Engineer Kazeem Olajide Olatunde, Ambassador Zainab Damilola Abbas, Mr Babatunde Yusuf, Mr Abdulrasheed Abdulrahman, and Offa Tv Media.

 

In conclusion, Halimat expressed her gratitude to the entire Offa community for their unwavering support and presence, both physical and virtual, which significantly contributed to the success of her tenure. Her parting words echoed a sense of optimism for the future, proclaiming, “Ilu Offa ko ni baje ooo” and “Ale le ọffa a gbe wa ooo.”
