President of the Offa Youths Council (OYC), Aare Musbau Olalekan Olaniyi has appreciated the Kwara state governor, Mallam Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq on the ongoing road rehabilitations in Offa.
Olaniyi, who doubles as Chief Aare Bobajiroro of Offa land, also appreciated Mallam Abdulquawiy Olododo, supervising commissioner for Works in Kwara State.
Speaking on the progress of road rehabilitations in Offa, he said: ”God almighty lays so much emphasis on thankfulness and expects humans to develop an attitude of gratitude, as stated in Qur’an 14:7.
”It’s important to show appreciation when something good is done. Recently, we made a press release when the State Government commenced the rehabilitation of roads across Offa. We called for quality work and not just the usual patching of potholes.
”On arrival at Offa, I drove around some of the roads, and I was really impressed with the quality of work done. It was a total resurfacing of Ita Erin – Agun – Adesoye College. Also, Iyana Essa, down to Ogidiri Primary School Junction, now wears a new look. The work on Ojoku Road from General Hospital down to Awrab Suite juntion is commendable. Potholes along General Hospital- Atan Oba, Ibrahim Taiwo Road, and Tipper Garage – Adesoye College are filled up.’
‘Resurfacing of bad spots along Irra Road is to commence today and will be completed speedily according to the contractor.

”While appreciating the efforts of the State Government under H.E Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq CON, we appeal for more intervention as we still have a long list of dilapidated roads.”
