OSCOTECH – Osun State College of Technology, Esa-Oke, has received the results of the accreditation exercise conducted by the National Board For Technical Education (NBTE) in September, 2023.

The NBTE in its report communicated to the Rector, Dr. Samson Akinbamide Omobayo Adegoke in a letter dated 31st October and signed by the Director of Academic Programmes, Arc. Ngbede Ogba on behalf of the NBTE Executive Secretary, Professor Idris M. Bugaje, grated approval to the institution to commence four new programmes beginning from 2023/2024 academic session. The new programmes are

– ND Public Administration
– HND Mechanical Engineering Technology (Manufacturing option)
– ND Water Resources Engineering Technology.
– ND Welding Engineering Technology.

Apart from the new programmes, accreditation was also granted to Twenty – Five (25) programmes already existing in the College. These programmes include

-ND Marketing
-ND Taxation
-ND Office Technology and Management
-HND Business Administration and Management
-ND Library and Information Science.
-ND Photography
-ND Civil Engineering Technology.
-ND Electrical/Electronic Engineering Technology.
-HND Electrical/Electronic Engineering Technology (Electronic/Telecommunication option)
-ND Mechanical Engineering Technology.
-ND Surveying and Geo-informatics.
-ND Quantity Surveying
-HND Quantity Surveying.
-ND Urban and Regional Planning.
-ND Statistics.
-HND Computer Science.
-HND Science Laboratory Technology (Physics with Electronic option).
-HND Science Laboratory Technology (Microbiology option)
-HND Science Laboratory Technology ( Chemistry option)
-HND Science Laboratory Technology (Biochemistry option)
-ND Arts and Industrial Design.
-HND Science Laboratory Technology (Environmental Biology option)
-ND Multimedia Technology
-Computer Engineering Technology and
-ND Agricultural Technology.

Dr. S.A.O Adegoke in reaction to this news, appreciated the NBTE Executive Secretary, Professor Idris M. Bugaje; NBTE Director of Academic Programmes, Arc. Ngbede Ogba and the entire NBTE team that participated in the exercise. He also expressed his profound appreciation to the Osun State Government, led by Senator Ademola Nurudeen Jackson Adeleke for it’s tremendous support to the institution especially during the accreditation exercise.

The Rector finally appreciated the Chairman Governing Council, Prince Diran Odeyemi, Staff and Students for their unflinching commitment to the progress of the institution, which has resulted into laudable achievements.
