In a show of support for education and community development, the Muhydeen Okunlola Kayode (MOK) Foundation has donated a generous sum of N100,000 to the Offa Students Union (OSU), University of Abuja Chapter. This contribution was aimed at supporting the union on Offa Day celebration and the launch of a new book.
The much-anticipated event took place on Sunday, the 19th of November 2023, and saw an enthusiastic gathering of Offa indigenes, university students, dignitaries, and well-wishers.
The Offa Day celebration, an annual event organized by the Offa Students Union, serves as a platform for Offa students to showcase and celebrate their rich cultural heritage while promoting unity, cooperation, and academic excellence. This year, the union decided to combine the Offa Day event with the launch of a book.
During the event, representatives of the MOK Foundation graced the occasion.
The Muhydeen Okunlola Kayode (MOK) Foundation has earlier transferred a sum of N100,000 to the union account with Moniepoint (BANK NAME: MONIEPOINT MICROFINACE, OSU UNIABUJA, 5323628084) after the OSU wrote the foundation for financial support.
In his remarks, Muhydeen Okunlola Kayode expressed his delight in being a part of the Offa Day celebration and the book launch. He highlighted the significance of education in empowering individuals and communities, and reiterated the commitment of the MOK Foundation to supporting such noble causes.
As the Offa community continues to unite and promote the educational aspirations of its students, the MOK Foundation’s dedication to the cause demonstrates the power of collaboration and communal support for a brighter and more prosperous future.
