Kwara PDP Salutes Saraki’s Compassion, Philanthropic Contributions to Kwara Devt
…. Congratulates Ansarul-Islam on Kamalud-deen University commissioning
The Kwara state chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has commended the President of the 8th Nigerian Senate, Baba Adini General of Ansarul-Islam Society of Nigeria, and the Waziri of Ilorin, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki (CON) over his continued act of benevolence to Ilorin and Kwara state despite not occupying public office since 2019.
The PDP in a statement by the state Publicity Secretary, Mr Olusegun Olusola Adewara (Sholyments) said the leader of PDP in Kwara has shown more commitment to offer people-oriented leadership than those who hold trust to public office and sit on Taxpayer’s money. The Party explained that Saraki’s act of benevolence at the recently commissioned Kamalud-deen University proved his large-heartedness, compassionateness, and commitment to the service of people whether in or out of public office.
The PDP was reacting to the huge donations made by Dr Saraki to gear up the development and sustainability of the Kamalud-deen University, Ilorin, an Islamic citadel of learning initiated by the Late Kamalud-deen Al Addabiy, the supreme leader of the Ansarul Islam Society of Nigeria. Dr Saraki had during the University’s official commissioning announced one hundred and forty million worth of full scholarships for 100 interested students who will enroll in the University and also millions of naira for the development of the project.
The Party described Saraki’s contributions to Kamalud-deen University from the time the project was conceived as that which not only adds value to the Islamic gospel but also promotes the pride heritage of Ilorin and puts the Emirate on the world map.
It also said Saraki’s large heart must not be misconstrued by those in government as political competition but be challenged by such act to use Taxpayer money in their possession for the advancement of the people’s well-being and progress of Kwara state
Meanwhile, the PDP in Kwara state also congratulated the Ansarul-Islam Society of Nigeria and Kamauldeen University management for their vision to immortalize the spiritual leader of the Islamic movement, Sheik Muhammad Kamalud-deen Al Adabiy with the establishment of the University.
The Party noted that the great efforts put in place to achieve such a milestone will forever be in the good book of history.
