The Offa Descendants’ Union, ODU, under the leadership of Alhaji Muideen Olaniyi Azeez Salako, attended the swearing-in ceremony of the Offa-born and STEM expert, Dr. Adetola Ariyike Salau, as Special Adviser on Education to HE Malam AbdulRazaq AbdulRahman, Governor of Kwara State, on Friday, November 17, 2023.
The event, which took place at the Governor’s Office, Ahmadu Bello Way, Ilorin, was presided over by Governor AbdulRazaq AbdulRahman, the Soludero of Offa Land.
The governor said that the appointment of a renowned expert, Dr. Salau, will strengthen his policy direction in the education sector, especially in the areas of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM), which is necessary to give solid backgrounds to the children at the basic and senior secondary levels.
The team of ODU National Executives, which was led by Muhydeen Idowu Oladipo (IMO), the National Social Secretary and acting National PRO of the union, congratulated the newly sworn-in SA Education and wished her the very best in her new assignment. In her response, Dr. Salau expressed her gratitude towards the ODU and commended the union for taking the time to attend the event. She appreciated their presence and contributions towards making the event a success.
