The Offa Descendants Union, ODU, under the leadership of Alhaji Muideen Olaniyi Azeez Salako, paid a working visit to Soilless Farm Lab on their farm located at Awowo, near Ewekoro, Ogun State, The union was on the farm to seal a partnership agreement with the organisation. The union said the partnership is a mark of support for youth empowerment and development in Offa.

The empowerment programme is a response to the need to reposition the youths in Offa and its neighbouring towns to face the challenges of a dynamic world, adding that the farm would help the beneficiaries develop and manage their agribusiness.

The Soilless Farm Lab had earlier offered the ODU 50 slots to Offa youths between the ages of 18 and 35 to be trained in greenhouse farming. The training is to be held on their farm in Awowo, Ogun State, with accommodation for every participant, and a token of #35,500 stipend will be paid to each participant monthly throughout the 3-month training.

At the end of the training, *the trainees will be provided with land and materials to get started, and they will be getting salaries from their profits, and the accumulated profit will be shared at the end of the year. There is also the availability of a ready-made market for their farm produce.*

Among the ODU delegates on the visitation were Prof. Olalekan Busra Sakariyau, Mr. Idowu Muhydeen Oladipo, the ODU National Social Secretary and PRO, and Mr. Olayemi Nurudeen Afolabi.

The highlight of the visitation was a tour of the farm facilities by the ODU delegates and a Soilless representative. The visit ended with a group photograph by the ODU delegates and a Soilless Farm representative.
