The Offa Descendant Union (ODU), under the leadership of Alhaji Olaniyi Muideen Azeez Salako, has commended personnel of the Federal Fire Service Offa Service Station for putting out the fire that gutted a house opposite Obanimomo Mosque, Offa.
ODU described the fire incident as unfortunate, adding that if not for the effort of the men of the Federal Fire Service in quenching the inferno, the fire could have led to the loss of lives and many properties.
The union noted the lifesaving efforts of the men of the fire service in making Offa and its neighbouring communities free of fire incidents. ODU assured them of their readiness to complement their efforts.
While thanking Almighty that no life was lost in the fire incident, the union urged individual and corporate organisations within our community to always support both the state and federal fire services in whatever capacity they could. ODU also called on the general public to always apply all preventive measures against fire incidents.
