Honourable Bukoye Marooph Bintinlaye has shared details of a recent meeting he had with a former Senate President of Nigeria, Dr. Bukola Saraki.
Recall Bintinlaye, a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kwara State, on Tuesday disclosed that he met with Dr. Saraki on germane issues boadering on Kwara PDP.
Sharing the details exclusively with News Bulletin Nigeria, Bintinlaye said the former Senate President said all hands are on deck towards resuscitation of the party in the state.
“Yes, I met with our leader, Dr. Bukola Saraki and we discussed pressing issues that concerns Kwara PDP. He allayed my fears and told me the party leadership has embarked on ‘resuscitation mission to reposit the party in the state’.
“He said, we should do everything humanly possible at our level to resuscitate the party. And the same time, we should inform him of everything that needs to be done at his level to make sure PDP in Kwara State is repositioned.
“He said that the party stakeholders must henceforth take proper charge of the party, and must be attending ward meetings from time to time.
“Other things we discussed was essence of going back to the drawing board and resuscitate the party in Offa LG and statewide.
“Bygone is bygone. We are now focused on politics without rancour or bitterness. 2023 elections brought its experiences and lessons. These would be act upon and rectified.
“We are focused on what is before us and not what was left behind. It is time to rejig the party and reposit if for betterment of the people and equity it stands for,” Bintinlaye said.
