The Offa Descendants’ Union, ODU, under the able leadership of Alhaji Muideen Olaniyi Azeez-Salako, has expressed sadness over the death of a retired senior custom officer, Alhaji Mufutau Akande, describing his demise as a shock.
ODU described the late Custom Akande as a committed, hardworking, patriotic, and selfless officer who served the country and his home town diligently. The union pointed out that the late Akande dedicated his retirement years to promoting the development of Offa, his home town. Indeed, the late retired custom officer was a true patriot and a respected community leader.
ODU prays that God will grant the late Custom Akande eternal rest. The union also prays for God to grant his friends, family, and associates the fortitude to bear the irreparable and irreplaceable loss.
