The Bauchi State Government, through the Local Government Service Commission, has sacked six monarchs from both Bauchi and Katagum Emirate Councils.
The announcement came through an official statement released by the Acting Permanent Secretary, Nasiru Ibrahim, who spoke on behalf of the Commission Chairman.
The statement cited the involvement of the affected traditional rulers in partisan politics, misconduct, illegal encroachment on forest reserves, unauthorised felling of trees, misappropriation of public funds, and acts of insubordination, all of which are contrary to the public service rules.
