The Offa Descendants’ Union, ODU, under the able leadership of Alhaji Muideen Olaniyi Azeez-Salako, has joined friends, family, and associates of Alhaji Fasasi Oyewumi Balogun in mourning his loss.
The former MD of Iyeru Okin Microfinance Bank and Otun Jagunmolu of Offa died on Sunday, May 28, 2023, after a brief illness.
ODU described Alhaji Fasasi Balogun’s demise as a great loss to Offa. He was kind, generous, and deeply passionate about issues in Offa, which was reflected in his contributions to the development of the town.
No doubt, the death of a loved one is usually painful because it is irreparable, but we must always take solace in God, especially if the deceased had lived a good and fulfilled life, just like the late Fasasi Balogun.
Alhaji Fasasi will be sorely missed by his friends, family, and associates, particularly his political party, the All Progressive Congress (APC), where he was one of the Offa Local Government Chairmanship aspirants.
The union prays that God will grant the late Fasasi Balogun eternal rest and grant his friends, family, and associates the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
