The Oyo State Executive Council (ExCo) has announced the appointment of HRM Ohna Sergeant Chidi Awuse, Paramount Ruler of Emuoha Kingdom, as the Chancellor of the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomosho.
The State Commissioner for Information, Culture and Tourism, Dr. Wasiu Olatubosun made this known after the State ExCo meeting held on Tuesday, April 4, 2023.
He said LAUTECH will benefit from the rich experience of the first class monarch as an administrator, community leader and a reverred traditional ruler.
HRM Sergeant Chidi Awuse, a First class traditional ruler, was named Nne-Nwe – Eli Emohua XIII (Olo IV), by the Executive Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike on February, 4 2022.
A source told OYO NEWS that HRM Sergeant Chidi Awuse is a notable monarch in Rivers state, whose tenure as Chancellor of LAUTECH will bring more development to the institution.
The appointment takes immediate effect.
