The Offa Descendant Union (ODU), under the leadership of Alhaji Olaniyi Muideen Azeez Salako, today remembers the late Ajiroba and Balogun Musulumi of Offa, a community leader per excellence, business mogul, and astute politician, late Alhaji Chief Mustafa Kajogbola Ijaiya who died on April 16, 2009.

Late Ijaiya, who was popularly known as MK Ijaiya, was a former Oyun LG Chairman during the second republic, between 1979 and 1983. MK was a strong tower of strength for ODU’s home branch as well as the National body of the union during his lifetime.

Alhaji Salako, in a statement by the union’s National Social Secretary and Ag NPRO, Idowu Muhydeen Oladipo, said 14 years on, the late Balogun Musulumi of Offa remains one of the original thinkers for progress and development in Offa.

“MK combined the ingenuity of a businessman with the humility, philanthropist, and fellow feeling of a well-bred son of Offa. The late Ajiroba of Offa was an indefatigable fighter, principled, and consummate mobilizer. His patriotic and selfless services to humanity and his unquantifiable sense of humanism and patriotism, during his life, is worthy of respect and emulation,” the statement said.

Alhaji Salako prayed to Almighty Allah to continue to shower His mercies upon Alhaji MK Ijaiya and make Aljanat Firdaos his permanent abode.
