The Offa Descendants Union (ODU), under the leadership of Alhaji Olaniyi Muideen Azeez Salako, has rejoices with Christian brothers and sisters in Offa and its environs on the occasion of the 2023 Easter festivities.
According to a statement by the National Social Secretary and Ag NPRO, Idowu Muhydeen Oladipo, on behalf of the National President, Alhaji Salako, while expressing appreciation to God for the gift of life and the opportunity for another celebration as well as for the relative peace in Offa and its environs, said,
“There was a need for Christians to continually determine to live the kind of life that Christ lived, which revolved around love, sacrifice, and integrity.” “The period of Easter is one for deeper reflection and a time for all to rededicate to the service of God and love to humanity.”
He further urges “Christians not to lose sight of the reason for the celebration, and to strive to emulate the virtues of Christ.”
Alhaji Salako also calls for peaceful coexistence between Christians and people of other faiths in the town, insisting “It is the fundamental ingredient for our collective growth and development as a people.”
Alhaji Salako wishes all the good people of Offa and its environs a peaceful and rewarding Easter celebration.
