Honourable Bukoye Marooph Bintinlaye congratulates Professor Abubakar Olanrewaju Sulaiman on his reappointment as the Director-General of the National Institute for Legislative and Democratic Studies (DG-NILDS).
Recall Professor Sulaiman’s reappointment for another four-year term by the President of the Senate and Chairman of NILDS’ Governing Council, Senator Lawan Ahmad, was conveyed in a statement on Friday signed by the NILDS Deputy Director, Information, Communication and Protocol, Mrs. Joke Akinsanmi.
In his congratulatory message on Sunday, Honourable Bukoye Marooph Bintinlaye described the reappointment as well deserved.
“I wholeheartedly congratulate my brother, Professor Sulaiman on his reappointment as DG-NILDS which will take effect from 28 May.
“This is well deserved. For those who are familiar with you, your experiences, dedication to duty, professionalism and hardworking, this will come as no surprise. Your credentials are more than eminently satisfactory for the stipulated requirements.
“I recall your first appointment as DG of NILDS by the former Senate President, Bukola Saraki in 2019 which leveraged on your antecedents as a former Minister of Budget and National Planning under former President Goodluck Jonathan. You have also served at the federal level as Deputy Chairman, Nigeria Economic Council and Transition Technical Committee and Nigerian delegate to the United Nations Ordinary General Assembly in 2015.
“Your extensive experience, integrity and leadership demonstrated in previous positions are urgently needed to foster Nigeria’s developments as a nation especially at this time.
“The mannerism of your harping on achievement and attainment of core values by which the NILDS was founded can never be overlooked, and deserves a continuation.”
While wishing Professor Abubakar Olanrewaju Sulaiman success in his new assignment, Bukoye Marooph Bintinlaye further expressed confidence he (Prof Sulaiman) will once again bring his vast administrative capacity to the fore for the benefit and upliftment of the country.
