…..accusses Olaojo Vincent of masterminding the attack
Oluwasayo Fabiyi, a former contender for the House of Representatives under the All Progressives Congress (APC), alleges that some suspected political thugs, purportedly loyal to Olaojo Temitope Vincent, attacked his residence, resulting in the tragic death of a domestic staff member.
Fabiyi, who defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress just weeks before the 2023 state general election, made these accusations on April 13, 2023, in a statement released in Ado-Ekiti.
Accusing Olaojo Vincent, a former House of Assembly hopeful, of orchestrating the attack to hinder his bid for the party’s candidacy in the 2023 National Assembly election, Fabiyi claims Vincent, with the assistance of his political ally, Ige Adebayo, deployed thugs to intimidate his supporters.
During the assault on Fabiyi’s Elewuro residence, he alleges that the thugs, reportedly organized by a figure known as Scorpion on behalf of Ige Adebayo, fatally shot a domestic staff member named Roseline.
The attack, lasting over 45 minutes, involved the destruction of property valued at millions of naira, including gunfire directed at the house and damage to the entrance door.
Describing Olaojo Temitope Vincent as a politician who fled abroad after failing to secure the ruling party’s House of Assembly ticket, Fabiyi portrays him as orchestrating trouble from afar, labelling him a coward and accusing him of using his influence to harass others.
In response, Ige Adebayo refutes the allegations, expressing condolences to Fabiyi and denying involvement in the incident.
He calls for a thorough investigation by security agencies and asserts his willingness to cooperate with authorities to bring the perpetrators to justice.
