A member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential campaign council in Kwara State, Honourable Marooph Bukoye Bintinlaye felicitates with muslims across Nigeria and Kwara State as they join other faithfuls world over in celebrating the Eld El-Fitr which marks the successful completion of the Ramadan fast.
This was contained in a goodwill message extracted from audios he sent while performing Ummurah in Makkah, Saudi Arabia on Thursday.
Bintinlaye also prayed for the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), the 2023 presidential candidate of the party, Waziri Atiku Abubakar, and the leader of the party in Kwara State, Senator Abubakar Bukola Saraki.
In the goodwill message, he urged all Nigerians to seize the opportunity of today to pray against all forms of insecurity that is currently bedevilling the country.
The statement quoted Bintinlaye to have called on all muslims to imbibe and practice the virtue of kindness, love, tolerance, peace, self denial, sacrifice and good neighborliness, as exemplified by the Holy Prophet Mohammad (Peace be upon him).
He stated, “at a time when our nation is confronted with multiple challenges that can only be overcome when we come together as one, unity and solidarity among all citizens—Muslims and Christians alike—are crucial. We ought to pray together against the tragic acts of kidnapping, robbery, and the desperate attempt to gain political power through blackmail that threatens the unity of our nation.
“We want to soak up rehearses that advance fraternity and pardoning among ourselves as residents of this country.
“Each obvious Muslim feels happiness at partaking in Ramadan, which is a vital commitment in Islam. May All-powerful Allah, thusly, reward us for the profound journey and award our sincere wishes for ourselves, families and dear country.
“The celebration of Eid al-Fitr in 2023 comes at a difficult time for Nigeria in terms of life and property security and when a large number of people are severely affected by poverty.

“We do not become pious through violence or hatred. By being patient and showing love to one another, we become pious. That is the message that we must reflect upon as we celebrate Eid today,” Bintinlaye said.
Bintinlaye thereafter advised Nigerians to continue with their closeness to Almighty Allah and their prayers for His intervention in the affairs of the country, even after the obligatory fasting period.
