The Lagos State Commissioner for Health, Prof Akin Abayomi, has disclosed that 32 patients rescued from Thursday’s collision of a train and a staff bus in the Ikeja area of the state had been discharged.
At a press conference held on Friday at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, Abayomi made this disclosure while speaking to journalists (LASUTH).
The commissioner continued, stating that 102 casualties were reported as a result of the incident.
According to him, there have still been six fatalities. At the same time, eight victims from Orile-Agege General Hospital and five victims each from the State Accident and Emergency Centre and LASUTH had received their discharge orders.
