… Prays For Atiku, Dr. Bukola Saraki, Kwara PDP
The National Director Contact and Mobilization for Atiku Care Foundation (ACF), Honourable Bukoye Marooph Bintinlaye has felicitated Muslims across the world and particularly, the good people of Offa local government area and Kwara State at large on sighting of the moon and commencement of Ramadan fasting.
Bintinlaye conveyed this in a statement he personally signed and made available to the public by his media office on Thursday March 23, 2023.
While quoting Quran 2, verse 183 to underline the significance of the month of Ramadan, he said the month of Ramadan should be dedicated to deeds and prayer for Nigeria.
“It is my pleasure on behalf of my family and Kwara PDP to felicitate with Islamic faithfuls in Offa local government area, Kwara and indeed Nigeria as a whole on the commencement of 1444AH holy month of Ramadan as commanded by Allah in Quran 2, verse 183- 185, where Allah said: ‘Believers! Fasting is enjoined upon you, as it was enjoined upon those before you, that you become God-fearing. Fasting is for a fixed number of days, and if one of you be sick, or if one of you be on a journey, you will fast the same number of other days later on.’
“I must extend my Ramadan greeting and prayer to the 2023 president candidate of our great party, Waziri Atiku Abubakar. As he rightly said this year’s Ramadan has come at a time when our dear country is at a crossroads. May Allah grant him victory as he challenges the results of the presidential election. May God continue bless in all ramifications and guide him.
“I must also pray for our leader, fortress and father of Modern Kwara, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki. May Allah azzawajallah continue to be with him, be strengthen, protect and enrich him.
“It is also important to be take full advantage of this holy month and solemn season that teaches piety, compassion, goodness to others and obedience to Allah both implicitly and explicitly.
“I therefore urged everyone to prioritize good deeds, prayers and almsgiving in order to have in full, all the rewards embedded in the holy month both in weight and height.”
Bintinlaye subsequently prayed to almighty Allah to accept the fasting of everyone and all other good deeds of this season starting from today as an act of Ibadah.
