The Offa Descendant Union, ODU, under the leadership of Alhaji Olaniyi Muideen Azeez Salako, has expressed its condolences to the Owoyemi family on the death of their patriarch, Alhaji Mufutau Olayiwola Salaudeen Owoyemi.

Late Salawudeen Owoyemi was the elder brother of the Asiwaju of Offa, Alhaji (Chief) Tajudeen Salaudeen Olajire Owoyemi.

In a statement released by the National Social Secretary and Ag NPRO of ODU, Idowu Muhydeen Oladipo, the Union described the late Salawudeen Owoyemi as dedicated and committed to the progress of Offa, adding that his death at this critical moment has created a vacuum difficult to fill.

“We are aware that the exit of Alhaji Salawu Owoyemi at this moment is a great loss to his family, friends, and indeed the people of Offa. We shall greatly miss him, particularly at this time, when his counsel is most needed.”

The ODU prays for the repose of the soul of the departed Alhaji Salawu Owoyemi. The union also prays for the family and friends of the deceased that God should give them the fortitude to bear the loss.
