The National Director Contact and Mobilization for Atiku Care Foundation, ACF, Honourable Bukoye Marooph Bintinlaye congratulates Ambassador Umar Ililya Damagum on his emergence as acting National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Amb. Umar Ililya Damagum, until his appointment on Tuesday, March 28, 2023, held position as PDP Deputy National Chairman (North).
Honourable Bukoye Marooph Bintinlaye, in a statement on Tuesday, urged Damagun to enthrone internal democracy within the party’s fold.
“I want to congratulate the new acting National Chairman of our great party, PDP, Amb. Umar Ililya Damagum on his emergence. This is undoubtedly a trying time for our party, hence there are so many things on his table to do.
“This was a call to serve one’s fatherland; and bestow of great responsibility on one’s shoulders, as well as a manifestation of Ambassador Damagum’s unique leadership qualities, visionary and purposeful disposition as well his immeasurable contributions to the growth of the party.
“It is, therefore, my prayers that, the almighty God, shall direct the steps of the new acting Chairman in his avowed determination to enthrone internal democracy and repositioning of the party towards achieving the desired overwhelming correlation in the coming days.
“It is also my sincere prayer that Almighty Allah will endow you with wisdom to bring these positive and result-oriented qualities to bear as you assume the leadership of our great Party.
