A former Chairman of Offa local government area of Kwara State, Barrister Segun Olawoyin has reportedly defected to the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC).
Olawoyin, who is also Chief Akinrogun of Offaland, is a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party in the local government area.
According to party’s sources, he defected a few days ago and all the PDP billboards at his father’s residence have been replaced by Governor Abdulrahaman Abdulrazaq’s.
When contacted, Olawoyin either confirmed nor deny the reports. He said, “Don’t write nonsense and don’t insinuate anything, If I am joining any party no one can hold me back, it is perogative.”
Barrister Segun Olawoyin is the son of JS Olawoyin, a loyalist of Obafemi Jeremiah Awolowo.
