Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, the Kwara State All Progressives Congress governorship candidate and incumbent governor, has won the governorship election held on Saturday.
He polled 226,956 votes to emerge as the winner of the highly anticipated election and led his closest opponent with a margin 123,118 votes.
His counterpart under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Shuabu Yaman, polled 123,118 votes to emerge as the runner-up in the election while Hakeem Lawal of SDP came third with 17,321.
