The National Social Secretary and Ag. NPRO of the Offa Descendant Union (ODU), Mr. Idowu Muhydeen Oladipo, on Monday, 5th March 2023, paid a courtesy visit to the headquarters of Momas Electricity Meters Manufacturing Company Limited (Memmcol) in Lagos on behalf of the National Executive.
Recall that the ODU Energy Committee under the Chairmanship of Cheif Lanre Shittu ( Otun Akoni of Offa). “had earlier visited the company. The visit was part of the Union’s activities to facilitate more developmental projects for Offa and ensure stable power supply.
Relaying the goodwill message from ODU National President, Alhaji Olaniyi Muideen Azeez Salako, Mr. Muhydeen Oladipo thanked Eng Balogun for his contributions towards the development of his homeland. He said the ODU, under the leadership of Alhaji Olaniyi Muideen Azeez Salako, in his short time in office, had aggressively embarked on projects that would have a direct impact on the people.
He said two of such efforts that have yielded positive results are: the commissioning of a Federal Fire Service Office, Officers residents & Fire Service Truck in Offa, and the recent approval of two transformers to Offa by the state governor, H/E AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq.
The Chairman of MOMAS, Eng Kola Balogun, in his address, commends the effort of ODU on the developmental project the Union is known for.
He promised to collaborate with the ODU in bringing more developmental projects to the town. Eng. Balogun revealed a concluded arrangement by his company to supply over 3,000 prepaid meters to Offa and its environs in the coming weeks.
The visit was concluded by the tour of the facilities at MOMAS by Mr. Muhydeen Oladipo, led by Engr. Kola Balogun and other staff of the factory.
