Bashir Ahmad, one of President Muhammadu Buhari’s media advisers, has vowed that his boss will not meddle with the election.
In response to a comment made by the late president Olusegun Obasanjo, Ahmad made this statement.
Obasanjo urged Buhari to act quickly to defuse the tensions brought on by claims of irregularities in the election results.
Additionally, he demanded that elections in places where compromise had been detected be canceled and rerun.
“So Chief Olusegun Obasanjo wants President Muhammadu Buhari to interfere with our electoral process halfway.
“The President will never do that. He always allows such institutions to work, independently,” Ahmad tweeted.
