UECD Berates IPAI, Says Saraki Soars Higher Than Gov AA

An ilorin based socio-cultural organisation under the aegis of United Emirates Communities for Development(UECD) has replied to a false publication by a sponsored faceless group, IPAI, which accused the Waziri of Ilorin and president of the 8th Nigerian Senate, Dr. Bukola Saraki, of an attempt to destabilise the traditional status quo of the Ilorin Emirate.

United Emirates Community for Development, in a statement signed by its President, Dr Mukhtar Ikokoro, said it is dissappointing that Mallam Abdulrahaman Abdulrazaq, who claimed to be true son of Ilorin, could be be throwing jibes at the referred heritage of Ilorin Emirate, by dragging royal institution into his desperate second term bid, which is already falling flat few days to elections.

The group noted that recent developments and antics of Mallam Abdulrahaman Abdulrazaq, with his continue vituperative and sponsored attacks on personality of Bukola Saraki, whose name is not in any ballot, confirmed that the Governor is already unsettled and has become victim of his own fear and frustration due to impending defeat steering at him.

“Dr. Saraki is a former Kwara State governor and has meritoriously represented Kwara Central senatorial district. He is unarguably one of the fore persons illuminating the light of the Emirate as we speak. As such, Dr Saraki was made the Turaki of Ilorin during his tenure as governor. He was afterwards elevated to the position of Waziri of Ilorin Emirate, courtesy of his Royal Majesty, Mai martaba, Dr Ibrhaim Sulu-Gambari, the Emir of Ilrorin.

“In case Abdulrahaman and his co-travellers are bereft of history, we will like to remind them that Saraki was the first serving Nigerian governor to be awarded the National Honor of Commander of the Order of the Niger (CON) in 2010. He was appointed onto the leadership council of the Global Alliance for Clean Cookstoves, an initiative led by the United Nations Foundation. On 19 April 2019 Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki was appointed the “Ambassador-at-Large” of the International Human Rights Commission (IHRC) among others.

“Saraki’s tentacles which spread around the world, has its roots in the Ilorin Emirate. How logic does it sound to want to disrupt, destabilize or destroy the platform upon which one’s foundation is laid? Let it be known that it will take Abdulrahaman Abdulrazaq a century, if he wishes to match the milestones which Bukola Saraki has been privileged to triumph politically in Africa.

“We could have gone on and on, but we paused at the realization that the purported media publication is Jacob’s voice and Esau’s hand. It should be noted that even before his elections in 2019, AbdulRahman and his poltiical agents have been found of throwing insult at the Emir, calling him all sorts of unprintable names on the media.

“For record, there has been nobody that ever disrespected the Emir’s throne as much as Abdulrahman Abdulrasaq. In 2018, as a gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress( APC), AbdulRahman AbdulRasaq and his supporters disrupted 53rd annual conference of the Ilorin Emirate Descendants Progressive Union (IEDPU), causing the Emir to leave in anger threrby bringing unexpected disruption to the annual cultural programme.

“Hence, we are not surprised at his latest concoction of falsehood; Ill-mannered vituperation targeted at Saraki and his open disregard for the Emir’s throne. Perhaps, this is a new antics to create an atmosphere of tension in Ilorin, to pave way for the APC and Abdulrahaman Abdulrazaq is notoriously known to thrive anywhere there’s tension and acrimony.”

“Also, the accidental Governor is also found of threatening royal fathers across the state to forcefully succumb to his political control so he can corner them for political advantage. On many instances, some royal fathers have expressed sadness on the level of political victimisation agents of Abdulrazaq’s government have meted on them.”

“Many of our royal fathers were forcefully made to declare support for the APC, with threats to remove them from the office should they identify with the perceived opposition. This is sacrilegious and cannot save Abdulrahaman from the impeding political humiliation.

” Let it be known that the throne of Mai Martaba, HRH, Alhaji (Dr.) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari — the Emir of Ilorin, who is a rallying point to all Ilorin Emirates people can neither be disrespected nor disregarded.”

“Everything Gov AA has been doing from 2019 has been disregarding not only the Alfa Alimi throne but all traditional institution in the state.

“Bukola can never stoop so low to drag the Alimi’s throne in the muds as Gov AA is doing. He has pedigrees and reputation in the Emirate, unlike AA who doesn’t have any tangible involvement and investment in Ilorin or Kwara before his accidental emergence as Governor.

“We know these schemes. These are efforts to instigate political violence and seek sympathy without which everyone knows Abdulrahman won’t strive. He knows he is a beneficiary of political movement and he wants the same to make him come the second time.

“Abdulrahaman should be informed that no matter how low he goes in propagating his propaganda, Saraki would never come down to his level nor engage him in gutter politicking. The elections is fast approaching; the people are already determined including many gladiators of Otoge who have realised that Abdulrahaman is a disaster accidentally put in government house.

“Abdulrahaman and his cohorts should therefore prepare to leave the people’s office in few months time as kwarans can no longer condone his profligacy and wreckage he’s doing to the state,” the statement added.

The statement also urged the traditional institution in the state to remain undiscouraged in the face of Governor AbdulRahman’s tyrannical tendency, noting that the current government which lacks respect for royal fathers will soon become history.
