Roads have been barricaded in Ilorin, Kwara State capital, to protest the scarcity of the new Naira notes and rejection old higher banknotes by traders in Oloje and Oko-Olowo areas of the city.

According to News Bulletin Nigeria, the protests are extended to Apata Yakuba, Unilorin hospital, Kwara Polytechnic’s gates among other places.

The law enforcement agencies have reportedly intervened, but started shooting sporadically. Many are believed to fear dead as at the time of filing this report.
