…. Says All APC Elected Officials Are Accidental Public Servants

Following the allegations of diversion of empowerment items slammed on the member representing Ifelodun/Offa/Oyun Federal Constituency, Hon Ismail Tijani, who is a member of the All Progressives Congress, (APC), Kwara Youth’s Alliance for Development, (KYAD), has called on anti-graft agencies in the country to investigate the Abdulrahman Abdulrasaq-led government over transformer scandals, NG-CARES funds and other misappropriations-cum-mismanagements.

The youth group made the call in a statement signed by Olaoye Oluwatimileyin A., president & convener of KYAD on Sunday, in Ilorin, the state capital.

It reads: “allegations of diversion of empowerment items slammed on Tijani Ismail did not come to us as a surprise. Anyone who is avidly following the APC government and its cohorts will realize that the party is submerged in corruption.

“We call on the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) and Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to investigate the Abdulrahman Abdulrasaq-led government of Kwara State and all the elected persons under the APC.

“They all are political scammers stealing from our commonwealth, thereby putting future of our generation in jeopardy.

“We are aware that Tijani is trying all he can to tamper with facts so as to distract ICPC officials. Some of his aides have confirmed to us how Ismail Tijani is trying to lobby for ICPC’s favoritism with bribes so as to give him soft landing, we advise officials involved in this matter to be professional in their conducts and not allow this highly corrupt character to rubbish their long-term reputation.

“APC has normalize corruption, it is funny that this is the same thing they claimed they will fight once elected in 2019, four years in governance, it is obvious that the party has successfully produced most corrupt people in the history of Nigeria.

“Recall we had revealed how Governor Abdulrahaman squandered the NG-Cares funds, hence put the future of the youths in the state in jeopardy. Under the NG-CARES scheme, AbdulRahman has been unable to explain how allocated $20 million meant to empower at least three thousands young Kwara entrepreneurs disappeared.

“Additionally, AbdulRaheem Tunji Olawuyi Ajuloopin, APC rep member representing Ekiti, Irepodun, Isin and Oke Ero Federal Constituency allegedly built himself a multimillion Naira mansion within 4 years of ‘representation’. We call it mis-representation..This is a man who could not account for ordinary one plot of land before his emergence as house of rep member.

“Indeed, ecstasy has gone into these people’s heads and make them see themselves inflated in the mirage. These are accidental public office holders. People who are familiar with history will but recollect that this Ajuloopin was chased out of Saraki dynasty following his shady dealings with Duravils construction.

“We praise the good works being done by ICPC and wish the Commission can do more especially by extending its investigation into the questionable acquisition of properties by many political office holders of this dispensation.

“We are hoping that this is the only way to send signal to others with similar Corrupt tendency to redress and use their offices to serve the citizens.
