Unknown numbers of passengers were kidnapped from a train station in the Igueben Local Government Area of Edo State by gunmen who are suspected to be Fulani herders.
Chidi Nwabuzor, the State’s Police Public Relations Officer, acknowledged the occurrence in a statement and stated that multiple people were hurt in the terrible attack.
According to information obtained by DAILY POST, the victims were waiting to board a train to Warri in Delta State when the attackers burst into the station and started firing randomly.
It was still unknown at the time this report was submitted if anyone had died in the incident.
This occurs just over a year after terrorists who are thought to be Boko Haram rebels assaulted a train traveling from Abuja to Kaduna and kidnapped numerous people.
