Osun state Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke has recently unveiled his 100 days plan for the state, which includes a number of initiatives aimed at improving the lives of citizens in the state. The rehabilitation of the 332 PHC centers in the state is an important step in ensuring that citizens have access to quality healthcare services. These centers will be equipped with modern facilities and staffed with qualified healthcare professionals, making it easier for citizens to access the healthcare services they need. This initiative is in line with the Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 3, which aims to ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages.
The enrollment of 3,000 citizens in the NHIS free of charge is another important initiative that will help to improve the lives of citizens in the state. The NHIS is a government-run health insurance scheme that provides access to healthcare services for citizens who cannot afford to pay for them out of pocket. By enrolling citizens in the scheme free of charge, the Governor is helping to ensure that more citizens have access to the healthcare services they need. This initiative is also in line with SDG 3, as it aims to ensure that everyone has access to essential healthcare services.
The renovation of 30 schools with 50 computers each in the 30 LGAs in the state is another important initiative that will help to improve the lives of citizens in the state. By renovating schools and providing them with computers, the Governor is helping to ensure that students have access to the tools and resources they need to succeed in their studies. This initiative is in line with SDG 4, which aims to ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all.
The provision of portable water in the 332 wards in the state is another important initiative that will help to improve the lives of citizens in the state. By providing access to clean and safe water, the Governor is helping to ensure that citizens have the resources they need to maintain good health and hygiene. This initiative is in line with SDG 6, which aims to ensure availability and sustainable management of water and sanitation for all.
The rehabilitation of 9 major roads in each Federal Constituency in the state is another important initiative that will help to improve the lives of citizens in the state. By improving the quality and safety of roads, the Governor is helping to ensure that citizens can move around more easily and safely. This initiative is in line with SDG 9, which aims to build resilient infrastructure, promote inclusive and sustainable industrialization and foster innovation.
Finally, the implementation of tech innovations programmes in the state is another important initiative that will help to improve the lives of citizens in the state. By promoting innovation and technology, the Governor is helping to ensure that citizens have access to the tools and resources they need to succeed in the 21st century. This initiative is in line with SDG 9, as it aims to promote innovation and technology and foster sustainable economic growth.
In conclusion, the Governor’s 100 days plan is a comprehensive initiative aimed at improving the lives of citizens in Osun state. The initiatives outlined in the plan are aimed at addressing key areas such as healthcare, education, infrastructure, and technology. These initiatives are also closely aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) which are aimed at creating a more sustainable and equitable world for all. The implementation of this plan will not only improve the lives of citizens in Osun state but also boost the economy and make the state a leader in technology and innovation.
