The Odo-Otin State Constituency candidate for Osun State House of Assembly under African Action Congress, AAC, Hon. Maharuf Olalekan Awolola, has charged the constituents on what needs to be claim their mandate in the forthcoming general elections.

Awolola made this call in an exclusive interview with Biztellers.com.ng on Sunday.

He said, “if we sit down conveniently watching, the kite will continuously snatch the only fowl we have (our right).

“In all honesty, we all have to be part of political process in order to bring out potential in us and also, to have a square/round peg in a square/round hole. Resilience is not magic. It requires a little bit of self-motivation and a lot of teamwork.

“We must be insightful to have a credible candidate with integrity to represent us at all levels of government.

“There must be an activity of making people present in public policy making process.

“To get the important things done, we have to ruthlessly stop doing the unimportant things because we can not be doing things the same way and be expecting different results.

“There must be an hitch-free communication with constituents to promote civic involvement and public awareness of towns and community services, policies, programs and matter pending before the government, and elicit input from the constituents regarding such matters.”

He thereafter asked the youths in Odo-Otin local government area of the state to make frantic efforts to liberate themselves.

“To all teeming youths in Odo-Otin Local Government, defining ourselves by our willingness to try, liberates us from the fear of failure. If we sit down conveniently watching, the kite will continously snatch the only fowl we have(our right).

“I want to imploy everyone of us to be more insightful in choosing the right candidate that will represent us at the State Assembly, because if we get it right this time, the better for all Odo-Otin indigen and if otherwise, it will have a negative effect on all us.”
