The National Director Contact and Mobilization for Atiku Care Foundation, ACF, Honourable Bukoye Marooph Bintinlaye has appealed to the people on the need to vote those who can duly represent them well at all levels of government.
Bintinlaye is also a member of the Peoples Democratic Party presidential campaign council in Kwara State.
According to him, they should vote for credible and accountable candidates who can as well be held responsible should they fall short in their duties.
While addressing the constituents in Igboidun Ward, Offa local government area of Kwara State, on Wednesday, Bintinlaye added that they should not elect “isolated lawmakers whose party have not structure.”
“If you elect someone whose party have no structure they won’t let him talk. It would be a case of majority against minority, even if he has lots of ideas, they won’t let him talk and this will definitely cripple his performances.
“So, I beg you to vote for all the PDP candidates, Atiku for President, Yaman for Governor, Senator Rafiu Ibrahim for Kwara South Senatorial District, Honourable Hassan Oyeleke for Ifelodun/Offa/Oyun Federal Constituency, Honourable Chief (Mrs) Bolaji Iyabo Ibiyeye-Adisa for Essa/Shawo/Igboidun Constituency and Ambassador (Comrade) Salaudeen Lukman you know as Eluku Ọmọ Adugbo for Balogun/Ojomu Constituency.
“They are people to entrust yourselves with. They have diverse and unique ideas to create several progresses for you as a people. They would put an end to ‘suffering and smiling’ state the APC put us all in.”
He added that as election is a little more than a month away, there is a lot of campaigns and canvasses to do.
“Let’s all go out. If is not that we talk to people who are only here; we need to engage the so-called opponents. There are lots of them who are tired of where they are, these people just need a little persuasion and they will join us.”
Bintinlaye, in addition, berated those who compare Honourable Hassan Oyeyemi Oyeleke, the PDP candidate for Ifelodun/Offa/Oyun Federal Constituency to other parties’ candidates.
“We have those who compare Alhaji Hassan to some other candidates. I have to clarify that Alhaji Hassan served at state level. He served Essa/Shawo/Igboidun Constituency at state level. He afterwards emerged House Leader of the 8th Kwara state House of Assembly. He did not serve at Federal level.
“There are sparse of resources at state level unlike national level. Even if you are sleeping at the National Assembly you have unlimited access to bounties. If you see them distributing cars, motorcycles, tricycles, trucks and others don’t think they are doing it with their monies. What you see are their constituencies projects; if anyone of them says he is spending his own money tell him to come and meet me. Those are their constituency projects, they themselves say what they want to be given,” Honourable Bukoye Marooph Bintinlaye concluded.
