The meeting between Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Candidate Bola Tinubu, as stated by the vice president’s spokesperson Laolu Akande, was to exchange pleasantries in the spirit of the holiday season.
This clarification was provided by Akande in a tweet that was sent from his verified account.
Recall that on Wednesday, Osinbajo visited Tinubu in Abuja.
In response to questions and other political hints connected to the encounter, Akande stated, “The Vice President dropped by for a friendly visit at Tinubu’s Abuja residence.
“At the meeting, the vice president and Asiwaju exchanged pleasantries in the spirit of the season.
“And in response to media inquiries whether this was a political meeting, it was not,” he, said
Wednesday’s meeting was the third between both leaders since after the APC presidential primaries in June.
