On the occasion of his seventh coronation anniversary, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, the Ooni of Ife, honored a few members of his palace staff.
According to a statement made on Saturday by the palace spokesperson, Moses Olafare, the king gave N100,000 apiece and letters of gratitude to five meritorious members of staff, N200,000 to three other staff members, and N250,000 to each of two royal assistants.
One assistant received N300,000, while three exceptional employees each received N1,000,000. One of them took home the top prize, a seven million naira car.
Olori Temitope Enitan-Ogunwusi, the founder of the Hopes Alive Initiative, was also thanked by Oba Ogunwusi for her tireless work in eradicating poverty and empowering those who are less fortunate in society.
