Yunusa Tanko, a spokesman for the Labour Party (LP) for the Presidential Campaign Council, warns that if unjustified assaults on the party’s supporters continue, supporters may turn to self-defense.

On Friday, Tanko revealed this in a tweet on his Twitter account.

The leader of the Labour Party was referring to an attack in Kebbi State on Mrs. Florence Ibrahim, the woman in charge of the party’s presidential campaign council, as well as other attacks in some other states.

Due to her unwavering stance with the opposition in Kebbi State, thugs reportedly attacked and set fire to her food selling operation on November 25.
Tanko wrote, “I just saw Labour Party Condemns Assault On Its Members In Kebbi, Other States.

“We may be forced to defend ourselves…… The attack on us Must Stop. Obidently and Yusfuly we stand.”
