Gunmen suspected to be kidnappers in Ondo State have abducted four students from Kogi State Polytechnic.
Along the Akunnu-Ajowa route in Ondo State’s Akoko North West area, the gunmen abducted the pupils.
The victims were reportedly on their way home for the holidays when the shooters ambushed the car they were traveling in.
Following the occurrence, the Ajowa neighborhood, where the students were traveling, was rocked by terror, which increased tension among parents and other community members.
Our reporter learned from a local source that the victims were abducted just before arriving in Ajowa.
The source further claimed the kidnappers were yet to make contact with any of the families of the abducted students.
Confirming the incident, the Commander of Police in Ikare-Akoko, ACP Muri Agboola, disclosed that his men have been combing forests along the Akunnu-Ajowa Akoko road in order to rescue the abducted students.
