The Kwara State Governor Abdulrahaman Abdulrazaq has been enjoined to commence rehabilitation and remodeling of Behavioral Center at General Hospital, Offa in Offa local government area of the state.
This charge was made by Engineer Akeem Yemi Oyetunde at the 4th Annual Colloquium Of Galaxy Clique Offa.
Oyetunde, who is also the Chairman of the Clique, said: “last year, on this same day, at this same venue, probably about the same time, during the 3rd Galaxy clique colloquium, we discussed the menace of drugs abuse in our society and how that is related to the heightened insecurity all across Nigeria.
“At the end of the colloquium, our members gathered to consider the take aways from that important session. We wanted to know what area we can intervene and contribute to the solution so we identified the rehabilitation of the Behavioral center at Offa General hospital as a venue to anchor the continuing attention to this menace.
“The Behavioral center provide care for outpatients and carry out public enlightenments, particularly to our teeming youth to stay out of of drugs and be focused on more productive endeavors.
“Prevention is better than cure. We are currently awaiting the approval of KWSG to commence the rehabilitation and remodeling works at the Behavioral center, to add value and enable the center function optimally. It is our hope that this project shall be delivered before the next colloquium.”
