The National Director (Finance and Administration) for Nigeria Diaspora For Asiwaju, NDA, Honourable Hajia Abbas Damilola Zainab has called on Kwara State’s women to support the reelection of the state’s governor, Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq.
She also entreated them to support the presidential ambition of Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the All Progressives Congress presidential candidate.
Hajia Abbas stated this on Saturday, in Offa, Kwara State during the 3-1 programme of a popular broadcaster, Chief Wale Odepidan.
Odepidan, Chief Awiye of Èkìtìland and the CEO of Global Links Mulitimedia Concept, launched his album titled “Kilọna Àbáyọ (What Is The Way Out)?, celebrated his birthday anniversary and conferred meritorious awards on distinguished personalities.
Abbas said:
“when I met Wale Odepidan, I discovered him to be a very thoughtful person. You know his job as a broadcaster requires talent, whoever that’s not gifted can not do it. If you look at the topic he said we should discuss here today, you will not fail to notice that only gifted individuals can come up with such.
“A lot of people don’t know where Nigeria is heading. It is not that we should start shouting ‘women’ ‘women’ up and down. No, let’s use choose the right persons to lead us. Let us contribute to our country’s governance. We should contribute to making people who we know will take us to the Promised Land.
“Check their records if you want to choose any leader. scrutinize their records. What has he contributed to governance, has he been there before, what capacity has he served; all of these should be asked because the next generation is more important.
“Some people have 3 children, some 4, some 6 but to take good care of them is very, very difficult.
“Let me talk about Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq. He has tried all his possible best. He has brought us from nothing to something, now we can just say that Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq is coming back once again. We know where we started from.
“Please, women you are the only persons who can back (support) Abdulrahman once again. If truly you are good mothers, back Abdulrahman once again. Back him with strong clothes so he won’t fall. As well as our leader and principal, Jagaban of Nigeria, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu. He is a leader that creates leader. It is his antecedents that make us say he is the next. Òun lokan. It is Yorùbá turn. No matter which party you are, let’s come together and work together as one. If we miss this opportunity, we don’t know when next we would have it.”
The occasion was graced by His Royal Highness, the Olosi of Osi, Oba Abdulkareem Saliu Adasofegbe (Arowobeku 1); the National Director, (Finance and Administration) for Nigeria Diaspora For Asiwaju NDA; Hon. Amb. Hajia Abbas Damilola Zainab; Alhaja Rafat Kola Shittu, Iya Adinni of Offaland (mother of the occasion) (represented by Alhaja Fatimoh Shittu); Offa/Oyun/Ifelodun Federal Constituency under the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, Hassan Oyeleke; Ojomu/Balogun Kwara State House of Assembly Candidate under the All Progressives Congress, APC, Ogbeni Seun Ogunniyi (represented).

Among the groups that attended the event were Osi Welfare Association (Offa Branch) and Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq (AA) Women support Group popularly known as Obìnrin Meto under the leadership of Hon Omotosho Taiye Mutiat.
