Yesterday, the National Assembly Complex’s security was stepped up as agents and representatives from the Sergeant-at-Arms Department searched each car that arrived on the property.
Visitors and those with insufficient identification were sent away.
New security measures were announced over the weekend by the NASS Security Management Committee.
The practice would go on till, according to a security guard at the National Assembly who spoke on the condition of anonymity “security improves in the country.”
