Residents of the territory were assured of their safety by the FCT Executive Committee (EXCO).
To maintain law and order in the nation’s capital, it demanded that sufficient security measures had been taken.
At its 12th meeting, held yesterday in the Gwarinpa I District, the committee provided the guarantee.
It said: “Before the issuance of the advisory, the security agencies maintained and upscaled surveillance through their personnel within the Federal Capital City to ward off any security breach”.
However, the committee asked locals to always work with the security forces by providing them with helpful and pertinent information.
Additionally, it urged citizens to install Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV) in public areas and structures to support ongoing government efforts to address the nation’s security issues.
