After taking over as the company’s owner and CEO, Elon Musk abolished Twitter employees’ paid time off.
This week, the new CEO of Twitter removed “days of rest” from the company’s calendar, according to a New York City business and economic news source.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, the monthly one-paid rest day was introduced with the intention of lowering employee burnout.
Musk is likely to establish higher standards for Twitter, as evidenced by the policy change.
Before taking over as owner and CEO of the firm, Musk had previously disturbed one of Twitter’s “days of rest.”
According to Bloomberg, Twitter’s 7,500 employees will be affected by the new CEO’s decision to fire about half of the company. Affected employees will reportedly be informed of their fate on Friday, November 5.
