Danladi Mohammed Pantami, who served as the Gombe State Commissioner for Economy, Budget, and Planning under Governor Dankwambo, has resigned from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

This information is found in a letter dated November 7, 2022, properly signed by Pantami and delivered to Mallam Sidi Ward, the party’s ward chairman in the Kwami Local Government Area of Gombe State.

Pantami didn’t explain why he did what he did.

“I write to notify you that I have resigned my membership of the Peoples Democratic Party with immediate effect.

“While thanking the party for the privileges accorded to me, please accept my esteem regards”, the letter read.

With the national elections in 2023 only a few months away, many see Pantami’s action as a negative omen for the State’s main opposition party.
