Suugbomsumen Adamu, the stepson, shot and killed Yusuf, a vigilante group member in the Jada Local Government Area of Adamawa State, as he tested the effectiveness of gun charms at home.

According to reports, the incident occurred on Sunday, November 6. On that fateful day, Yusuf, who was rumored to be drinking known whiskey, allegedly sighted the accused while he was returning home. He then called him, turned his dane gun on himself, and asked him to fire it.

It was thought that the dead, who was accused of acting while intoxicated, had strengthened himself with protection charms, but they sadly failed him. Adamu alleged that his stepfather asked him to hold the loaded Danish gin and shoot it while turning it on himself.

Adamu claimed that despite his refusal, the deceased persisted in having him follow his instructions. The young man activated the gin’s trigger in compliance with his stepfather’s order, penetrating the vigilante and mortally wounding him. He was taken to the hospital where it was determined he had passed away.
