The Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting is being presided over by President Muhammadu Buhari this week at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
The draft estimates for the 2023 budget are expected to be discussed at the meeting. President Buhari will present them to the National Assembly on Friday, October 7.
Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Mr. Boss Mustapha, Head of the Federal Civil Service, Dr. Folasade Yemi-Esan, and Chief of Staff to the President, Professor Ibrahim Gambari, are all present physically at the meeting.
Justice Minister Abubakar Malami, Minister of Communications and Digital Economy Isa Pantami, Minister of Finance, Budget, and National Planning Zainab Ahmed, Minister of the Federal Capital Territory Mohammed Bello, and Minister of Education Adamu Adamu are also in attendance.
Others include Dr. Osagie Ehanire, Minister of Health; Geoffrey Onyeama, Minister of Foreign Affairs; Sadiya Farouq, Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management, and Social Development; Mustapha Shehuri, Minister of State for Agriculture; Clement Agba, Minister of Budget and National Planning; and Udi Odum, Minister of State for Environment.
Several other cabinet members are taking part digitally from their separate Abuja offices.
