The Nigeria Excellence Award in Public Service (NEAPS), where honors will be given to 43 deserving people, including former President Goodluck Jonathan, is being attended by President Muhammadu Buhari.
Speaker Femi Gbajabiamila, Senate President Ahmad Lawan, and 16 Governors, including Rivers’ Nyesom Wike, are also receiving awards in a variety of categories in appreciation of their contributions to the public good.
Awarded for exceptional leadership, service, or humanitarianism, the NEAPS was established to recognize excellent public service to Nigeria, whether contributions to individuals, the state or local community, or the general public.
The recipient must be a living public official or private citizen who continuously excels in a particular sphere of influence, be in good moral standing, and be at the forefront of service and innovation in order to be eligible.
