Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, a presidential contender for the All Progressives Congress (APC), has received the “African Man of the Century” award from the Agbarijo Egbe Odo Yoruba (Grand Council of Yoruba Youths).
At an event in Ibadan to commemorate the annual Yoruba National Day, Tinubu was announced as the recipient.
The council stated the honoree was “bestowed with a very unusual and artistically carved Odu’a award” in a statement by its president-general, Awa Bamiji.
Representative for Tinubu was Ambassador Sola Iji.
Three governorship candidates for the All Progressives Congress (APC) were also endorsed at the occasion.
